Appointment Policy

Arriving late will deprive you of valuable treatment time. To avoid delaying the next client, your treatment will end on time and you will be responsible for the full treatment cost. While we will make every effort to perform your entire treatment in the remaining scheduled time, we reserve the right to reschedule your appointment if we feel there is not enough time to give you a quality treatment and not keep other clients waiting. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may result in the cancellation of your appointment and the full loss of your deposit or pre-paid voucher. We encourage you to schedule at least two weeks in advance or upon checkout of a current service to reserve the most convenient time for your schedule.

New Client Appointments

New clients are asked to please arrive 10 - 15 minutes prior to your appointment to allow time for completing consent forms, other paperwork, using the restroom, etc. There is no need to arrive much sooner than that. A short initial consultation has been worked into your initial appointment time.

Cancellation Policy

ALL deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE. If you need to cancel your esthetic appointment, we ask that you please contact us 48 hours in advance of your scheduled time to give us enough time to place another client in that time slot. This policy enables us to compensate our employees for their time, and maintains a higher availability of our time for you as well as others. By scheduling an appointment, you are agreeing to our cancellation policy. Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late may result in a shortened appointment or a cancellation if there is not enough time to complete the treatment. Cancellation of a pre-paid treatment appointment will result in that promotion being fully redeemed. If the amount paid for the promotion is more than $50 in value, your account will be credited the remaining amount that can go toward any treatment, as long as we are given notification of cancellation / rescheduling at least 48 hours in advance. If the amount paid is $50 or less in value, we will simply consider the matter paid in full but you will not be eligible for a treatment or retail credit. Any No Call / No Show of a pre-paid treatment will result in that promotion being fully redeemed. Refunds will not be granted. ALL NO CALL / NO SHOW's will be charged the FULL AMOUNT of the cost of their scheduled service without exception, and may be required to pre-pay in full (including past due fees) for any future appointments.

Cancel or Reschedule An Appointment

Cancellations or appointment rescheduling requests via social media, email or text message WILL NOT be accepted. We are simply not online consistently enough to always see those messages, therefore we cannot accept it. To cancel or reschedule your appointments, please either give us a call at 314-403-0349 or revisit any confirmation email that you may have received from us at least 48 hours prior to your appointment for prompts for cancelling or rescheduling your appointment. If at any time you are not allowed to cancel or reschedule your appointment via your email, it is because it is less than 48 hours before your scheduled appointment and the appropriate fee, or loss of deposit, will typically be charged. If you call in to cancel or reschedule your appointment and are prompted to leave a voicemail, please rest assure that our voicemail system is time stamped and any request given via voicemail before the 48 hour mark we will be informed and your request should be honored based on the Cancellation Policy as listed above.

Reception Area Policy

Please respect the tranquility of other spa guests and refrain from phone conversations or otherwise loud noises that may disrupt others in the studio. Young children that are not being treated, or any guests that are not being treated, are not allowed to accompany you within the studio. The time you've scheduled is for your treatment and we want to use this time to concentrate on you. Please plan for babysitting prior to scheduling your appointment, or instruct any guests to wait at any of the fabulous restaurants and bars surrounding us. If your appointment needs to be cancelled or rescheduled due to bringing a small child or guest, a cancellation / rescheduling fee will be assessed at that time as well, or it may result in the loss of your inital deposit. Parents accompanying any minor client is the only exception to this policy. Parents may, and should, accompany minor clients.

Gift Certificate / Gift Card Policy

Skin By April Gift Certificates and Gift Cards are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash or gratuities. Gift Certificates and Gift Cards can be redeemed for esthetic treatments and retail products only. Present your Gift Certificate or Gift Card at the time of service, or when purchasing retail items. The available balance will be applied towards your purchase. Skin By April is not responsible for lost or stolen cards. The full value MUST BE USED within 6 months of purchase. Time of use will not be extended under ANY circumstances.

Payment Policy

Because our studio is limited to elective esthetic treatments, we do not bill insurance. We accept Cash, Credit Cards, Debit Cards and Skin By April Gift Cards ONLY. We do not accept personal checks. A deposit is due at the time of scheduling for all individual consulations or esthetic treatments. A $50 deposit is required for any service costing $50 or more. The full cost of service is required for all treatments scheduled costing $50 or less. Those scheduling treatment series' will be charged the above fee for each appointment in the series at the time of scheduling. Therefore a treatment series of 3 would require a deposit of $150. That equals $50 for each scheduled appointment, and so on. All Pre-Paid services must be scheduled either by using the "Prepaid Services" link under the "Book Online" tab, or via phone at 314-403-0349, to avoid paying any additional cost.

Prices and Promotions

We are committed to continuously expanding our services to ensure we bring you the latest and greatest treatments and beauty technology. Although we make every effort to keep our website, social media pages, and studio menu updated accordingly, please note that prices, treatments, and products are subject to change at any time without notice. Special offers and discounts may not be combined. When presented with more than one discount opportunity, we will automatically give clients the discount of greater value at the time of purchase.


Gratuities are at your discretion, and are always appreciated by your practitioners. The industry standard is between 15 - 20% of the full cost of each individual service, and what you give should depend on your level of satisfaction.

Refund Policy

We DO NOT offered refunds on services rendered. Esthetic results are quite variable from person to person and while we do our best to achieve the desired results it cannot always be guaranteed. Clients are responsible for further treatments needed to achieve further results. Pre-paid treatment series' are non-transferrable and are non-refundable after the first treatment in the series has been received by the client. We DO NOT offer refunds on products purchased. Products may be exchanged within 7 days from the date of purchase when there has been a documented adverse reaction to the product. Defective products (i.e., a broken pump) may be exchanged within 7 days for the same product only. In accordance with FDA regulations, we do not offer refunds or exchanges on any purchased waist trainer or compression device, food products or supplements.

Referral Policy

Refer a new client to our studio and receive a $20 service credit towards any treatment after the referred New Client's first treatment is complete. You must use your credit within six months. Referral credits may be combined to be used to pay for a treatment in full. There is no cash value associated with this credit to your account as it can only be applied toward a service. Referral credits cannot be used to purchase retail items.

Treatment Series Expiration

Treatment series and treatment packages must be used within 6 months of the date of purchase or they will expire. No services or refunds will be given after the expiration date. Otherwise pre-paid treatments will expire on the date given on your voucher or paid receipt.

Treatment Outcomes

We will be honest in all our dealings with you as our trusted client. Esthetics is not an exact science and how you may respond to a given treatment will vary from person to person. It is virtually impossible to predict results and therfore payments are made for treatments to be performed - not for a specific result. However, we always strive to achieve the absolute best result that we can for you. Thank you for allowing us to serve you!

Skin By April Acne Care Program

Skin By April offers a clear-skin system that will have your acne under control typically between three to four months, depending on your type of acne and its severity. We combine the power of a clinical-grade home-care regimen that is customized for your type of acne, with a series of twice-monthly in-office treatments. You will also learn about other aggravating factors that cause break outs, including foods, medications, cosmetics, stress, and common ingredients in skin care formulations that might be clogging your pores (even professional and prescription products). Skin By April Monthly Membership Program

Skin by April offers a savings program for those clients seeking to achieve and maintain long-term results. With our new Monthly Membership Program, you choose the tier level that best fits your needs and budget, enroll for only 6 months, and receive a comprehensive treatment of choice each month. Each tier also consists of bonus discounts on products and additional studio treatments, exclusive event invitations, exclusive offers, giveaways and more. Personal Belongings

Personal belongings are the full responsibility of the studio guest and should be kept in your possession at all times. Skin By April is not responsible for lost or damaged items.

Our #1 goal is for you to be happy with our service and to love the results you achieve. We believe in full disclosure, which means we strive to ensure that you understand the treatments you receive and the risks and benefits associated with each of them. With this in mind, please be assured that our team will only recommend treatments and products that will benefit you specifically, and which are medically appropriate for you. Studio-Client Relationship

We absolutely adore and appreciate our clients, and consider those relationshps confidential. We will never use your name, image, video, photograph, etc without your expressed verbal or written permission. Also, please be advised that we reserve the right to refuse to provide service at any time, to anyone, for any reason.

Schedule An Appointment

To make an appointment, please select the Book Online tab above, or call us directly at 314-403-0349. Upon scheduling your appointment, using either method, you will be asked to use a credit card to either pay your initial treatment deposit or to simply guarantee the appointment. If you have already pre-paid for your treatment, you will NOT be charged a fee at the time of scheduling your appointment, but you will still be asked to provide a valid credit card number to guarantee your appointment. You must either select the "Pre-Paid Services" option under the "Book Online" tab above, or call us directly in order to schedule an appointment under this option. We also recommend that you schedule appointments in advance to ensure your preferred date and time are available. Often, our appointment dates fill up fast, and we are often completely booked at least 2 weeks to 2 months plus in advance. All scheduled appointments will be confirmed through our automated system by text message or email or both (at the client's preference). Please ensure that we have a correct phone number and email address for you. Scheduling an appointment with us is your acceptance of all of our policy practices.

Guest Policy

Please plan for babysitting before scheduling your appointment. GUESTS and SMALL CHILDREN are NOT ALLOWED to wait inside of the studio while you are receiving your treatment. Lack of planning ahead is not an acceptable excuse for missing your appointment, and a fee may still be assessed, or it may result in the loss of your initial deposit. Our studio is surrounded by restaurants, bars and tourist stops. If you are accompanied by a guest, please let them know that they can wait for you while you receive your treatment at any of these locations. We are a small facility with a limited working staff, and are unable to properly watch or entertain unscheduled guests. Parents/Guardians accompanying minor clients are the only exception to this rule.

Facial Appointment Preparation

We ask that first-time facial clients prepare for their upcoming appointment by not waxing or threading for 3 - 5 days prior, and by not shaving and stopping the use of all active facial products for at least 2 days prior to your appointment unless otherwise instructed. Active facial products consist of the following: - Electronic Facial Brushes (Clarisonic, Spin Brush, etc) - Facial Scrubs - Products Containing Acids (glycolic, salicylic, mandelic, etc.) - Retinols - Prescription Topicals (Retin-A, Topical Acne Prescriptions, etc.) If you have, or are currently, using Accutane, please be aware that we will not be able to treat your skin until you have stopped taking the medication for at least 6 months, and up to 1 year, depending on how long you have been using the medication. Most of our facial treatments consist of professional-level exfoliation, and the use of the above-listed products can make your skin very sensitive to treatment. Special instructions may be given to you prior to more invasive treatments based on your individual needs. All clients receiving facial treatments or eyelash extensions should arrive without makeup or wash their face with our provided products in the restroom prior to seeing the esthetician.

Body Contouring Appointment Preparation

We ask that body contouring clients arrive to their appointment after having been freshly showered for the day. For best results, eat a light meal and drink plenty of water before receiving treatment.

Sudatonic Appointment Preparation

To best prepare for your upcoming Sudatonic Far-Infrared Inch-Loss appointment, please do the following: 1. Eat A Good Meal Before Your Session - One half to one hour before your Sudatonic appointment, eat a meal consisting of low fat protein, vegetables or fruit, and low sugar carbohydrates. 2. Drink Plenty of Water - We recommend 1 quart per 50 lbs of body weight DAILY. Do not drink anything alcoholic or carbonated (soda, sparkling water, etc) before your infrared session. Tea or coffee is allowed only if it is decaffeinated. During the session, water should only be SIPPED. To achieve maximum results, do not shower or eat, just continue to SIP water if you are thirsty during the 4 hours following a Sudatonic session. 3. Exfoliate - You may exfoliate your body the day before your Sudatonic session. 4. Do Not Use Lotions - Do not use deodorant or lotions on your skin prior to your session. 5. Do Not Eat for 3 - 4 Hours After a Treatment - For optimum results do not shower or eat for 3 - 4 hours after your session. This helps by not reintroducing toxins or excess fluid back into your system while your body is still burning fat during that time period. It also allows the pores of your body to close naturally naturally as your core body temperature returns to normal. To obtain optimal results, treatment should be used 2 - 3 times per week. In one hour of treatment, you can burn an average of 1800 calories or lose 1 - 3 pounds (on average). Individual results may vary depending on body composition. Ask us about special pricing on treatment packages.

Lash Extension / Lash Lift Appointment Preparation

We ask that Lash Extension / Lash Lift clients arrive for their appointments without any eye makeup on. That means that no eyeliner, mascara, or eye shadow should be worn. All clients arriving for these services wearing any of the above will be provided with an eye makeup remover and asked to fully clean their eye area in the restoom prior to seeing the esthetician.

Deposit Requirements

Please be advised that our scheduling policy has changed, in that now (as of 01/01/18) we require a deposit before new appointments can be added to our calendar. The deposit amount is now $50 for any service priced at $50 or more, and the entire cost of service will be required for any service priced at $49 or less. ALL initial deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANFERABLE, meaning that, if the need arises to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you will be required to pay an additional deposit to do so. Therefore, please ONLY schedule appointments with us if you are absolutely sure that you will be able to make your appointment. Exceptions to this rule will not be granted at any time, to anyone. To reduce causing any of our current clients any financial hardship, if you currently have an appointment already on the books with us (01/01/18), you will not be affected by this rule as long as you have a valid credit card on file and pre-book your next appointment with us at the time of paying for any current appointment. But be advised that the moment you are off the calendar for any reason, our deposit policy will then apply to you as well. If you have purchased a Pre-Paid Voucher, you can bypass having to pay a deposit by simply selecting the "Book Online" tab at the top of the page, and then "Pre-Paid Services" to schedule your appointments, or giving us a call to schedule at 314-403-0349. All Pre-Paid Voucher appointments are final. Please only make appointments for dates that you are absolutely sure that you can attend. Rescheduling appointments will only be granted for medical emergencies, and must be requested at least 48 hours prior to your appointment time and date.
